The
Audit Committee monitors the council’s arrangements for
financial governance and stewardship, risk management and
audit. The committee also receives advice and reports from
the council’s external auditors. The Audit Committee
produces an annual report to Full Council on the effectiveness of
council’s internal audit system.
The
Audit Committee meets four times a year. The meetings are
usually held in the Council Chamber, Muriel Matters House and are
generally open for the public to attend. Paper copies of the
