The
Museums Committee is responsible for overseeing the council’s
museum service and the maintenance of its collection. The
committee reviews new donations as they are received and considers
proposals for how the service could be developed in the
future.
The
committee has fourteen members, which includes eight councillors and six members of the museums
association.
The
Museums Committee meets every three months. The meetings are
usually held in the Council Chamber, Muriel Matters House and are
generally open for the public to attend. Paper copies of the
