(Kit Wheeler, Chief Finance Officer & S151 Officer)
Additional documents:
Minutes:
The Chief Finance Officer explained the external auditors have been unable to give opinion on accounts up to now. The accounts have been produced for 20/21. It is planned for the outstanding 21/22, 22/23 and 23/24 accounts to be produced by September. The auditors will take on extra work that would have been completed by the Councils auditors and this will come at an additional cost. This has been built into the budget. It is not anticipated for there to be any material differences.
There was an impact on the 20/21 accounts due to COVID restrictions. The figures have improved in the following years.
Public Question Time (30mins)
Minutes:
The Chair called for any questions from the members of public in the chamber and there were none.
The Chair explained there had been a written question.
From Steve Peak: Looking at the online agenda for the Charity committee on the 18th of March, I see that the final accounts are for the year 20/ 21. Could you kindly explain why they are not more recent than that?
The Chair explained this has been answered in the previous item.
